The development of competences demands more than pure theoretical work. “The independent practice constitutes the final step that allows the student to pass (usually alone) from comprehension to action” (Gauthier et al. 2005). Therefore, teachers are called to provide the students with contextualized opportunities to practice independently and build their own knowledge.
