The stress relating with occupation or profession is called occupational stress. We can broadly classify all the sources of occupation stress into two broad categories i.e. individual characteristics and work setting variables. Different people perceive occupational stress differently because of their personality type. Now days when India is on the verge of becoming a developed nation, we can not ignore the role of women. In India women’s heavier responsibilities for families also affect them at working place. Moreover, there are few personal variables like type of personality, marital status, and family type also influence their level of occupational stress.
