The plasma TV program in Ethiopia is one of the country’s wider national eLearning initiatives and is delivered to government secondary schools across the country through a closed-circuit system using Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite dish. The program is organized around lessons and tasks presented by a plasma teacher, facilitated/supported by a classroom teacher, and performed by students. This study assesses the overall effectiveness of the practice of the plasma-channeled English language instruction and its developments.
