This book presents possible solutions to how the paintings'' environment can be improved mainly by stabilising the relative humidity and temperature within a specific range in order to limit conservation problems such as detachment of paint and biological deterioration. It is possible to achieve such micro-climate control in challenging exhibiting and storage environments by covering paintings with protective materials.
