Environmental pollution is a significant problem worldwide. In Nigeria, as in many developing countries, zoonotic diseases are a serious health issue. Particularly, the bacterial pathogens considered in this work are causes of gastroenteritis which is endemic in the region. This book describes a research work on the public health implication of the proximity of livestock to humans.
