However, due to high cost of fertilizer K, farmers seldom use K for maize nutrition which results in big yield gaps. Hence, the exploration of alternate sources of K nutrition of maize is highly crucial for sustainable maize production. This study evaluates the efficacy of a novel organic K fertilizer, developed from fruits and vegetables wastes, in enhancing the growth and biomass production of maize.
