The computing literature contains many proposals for new ways of designing and developing computer-based systems, however, surprisingly (and worryingly) little work has been done to find the evidence that validates ideas about appropriate technical products and methods and links the theory to practice (Briony J Oates, 2006). Resistance to change is shown to be the greatest obstacle to change. The issue of successfully overcoming resistance to change can be achieved only if the end-users believe that using the new technology would enhance their performance.
